Rotary’s Habitat Solar initiative is dedicated to empowering Habitat for Humanity homes with clean rooftop solar energy. This mission not only offers an avenue for homeowners to enjoy reduced monthly electric bills but also provides a stepping stone towards a brighter financial future. Many Habitat homeowners live in areas where cleaner air can enhance community health. By championing solar installations, we aim to foster healthier living environments. Our goal is to set a precedent for clean energy leadership and motivate Habitat, renowned for its quality home construction, to embrace rooftop solar as a standard feature. Installing a 5.4 KW system on a single Habitat home equates to the environmental benefits of planting over 3,000 trees or choosing not to drive nearly 300,000 miles. Through these initiatives, we are optimistic about building a greener, more sustainable future for everyone.
